A FULLY AIR-CONDITIONED TRAIN offering a package of 7 nights and 8 days. Buddhist Train Tour starts on every Saturday of the week* from Delhi - Safdarjung Station.

Months of Operation : (January till March next year)

Day 01 - Delhi - Safdarjung Station
Get on board the Maha Parinirvan Special at the Safdarjung Station in Delhi as the train is about to leave for Gaya. The dinner will be served on board the train.

Day 02 - Gaya
You begin your day with your arrival in Gaya which is a religious city and its proximity to Bodhgaya makes it even more attractive as a destination. You'll be transferred to the hotel in the morning. Freshen up for the day as we get your breakfast ready. Today we are scheduled to visit the Bodhgaya temples and other attractions. We have made arrangements for your lunch whereas your dinner will be served at the hotel in the night. Your overnight stay has been planned at the hotel itself. So, have a nice sleep in the soothing environment of Bodhgaya.

Day 03 - Rajgir Nalanda
It's your second morning in the religious city of Gaya and we believe that you are getting into the skin of your spiritual journey. Have your breakfast as you need to store some energy for the hectic day that you are going to have. Let's leave for the historic journey of Rajgir and Nalanda after which we'll get back to Gaya so that you can get on with your onward journey to the holy and eternal city Varanasi.

Day 04 - Varanasi
Though you are getting into a spiritual mode by now, yet the fact that will strike you the most is the fact that each of these cities is holy in its own way and that no two days of your journey are same. You'll be transferred to the hotel after your arrival in Varanasi. Your breakfast will be served at the hotel after which we'll go for a sightseeing tour of Sarnath. At no time in your journey you'll be inconvenienced by our breaks for lunch and dinner as we have scheduled these in such a manner so that the religious tour is not affected. After the Sarnath leg of our tour is over, we'll leave Varanasi for Gorakhpur in the later part of the day.

Day 05 - Gorakhpur – Kushinagar
The train journey that has been arranged for you is so comfortable that you are unlikely to feel any fatigue when you arrive at Gorakhpur. Yet, arrangements have been made to transfer you to the hotel so that you can get yourself ready for the day. Have your breakfast and we'll get moving for our visit to the Kushinagar pilgrimage sites. Your overnight stay has been scheduled at the hotel in Gorakhpur.

Day 06 - Gorakhpur - Lumbini - Gorakhpur
You'll need to wake up a bit early as we'll go for a tour of Lumbini after you've had your early breakfast. Lumbini is situated in Nepal and is a very sacred Buddhist site. Later we'll leave for Gonda from Gorakhpur.


Day 07 - Gonda – Sravasti – Gonda
Gonda is our next base camp from where we'll tour the holy Buddhist site Sravasti. But first we'll transfer you to the hotel where we'll serve you the breakfast. Now we'll go for a sightseeing tour of Sravasti which was a developed town during Lord Buddha's time. We'll be get back to Gonda since now we have to leave for Agra by train.

Day 08 - Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra – Delhi

Welcome to the historic city of Agra and as we transfer you to the hotel, conjure up some vivid images of Agra and specially Taj Mahal to get yourself in the mood for the rest of the day. We'll serve you the breakfast at the hotel after which we'll leave for a sightseeing tour of some of the most magical monuments at Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. After you are through with the tour, we'll serve you the lunch after which we'll leave Agra for Delhi. You'll arrive at the Safdarjung stationin Delhi at about 1800 hrs.

The tour has ended but the journey you began will continue for the rest of your life. So ... all the best.
