Day 02, Arrive Kolkata
Meeting, greeting & assistance on arrival at the international airport and transfer to the hotel.
Kolkata (Calcutta) – The capital of West Bengal, is situated along the banks of the Hooghly river. Calcutta’s, 300 years history traces to the landing of Robert Clive on the banks of the Hooghly. Calcutta now called “Kolkata” was the first headquarters of the East India Company – the British trading establishment which later formed the foothold of the British Empire in this country. Kolkata as an important historical trading port attracted several communities and one can still see the influence of the Chinese, Jewish and Armenian communities. Afternoon sightseeing of “City of Joy” visiting the Jain Temple, Zoological Gardens, Victoria Memorial & drive past Howrah Bridge, Dalhousie Square, Fort Williams, Secretariat Building and Old Court House Street.
Day 03, Kolkata - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Fly to Bagdora. On arrival drive to Darjeeling. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the hill town on your own.
Day 04, Darjeeling
Early morning tour of Tiger Hill - to witness the Sunrise and Ghoom Morning walking in the bazaars or visiting one of the Tea Gardens. Darjeeling tea is known world over for its fine flavor.
Day 05, Darjeeling - Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok.
Day 06, Gangtok
Morning visit famous Rumtek Monastery Later visit Research Institute of Tibetology, the Buddhist Institute is a treasure trove of vast collection of rare Lepcha, Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts, statues and rare. Also visit Do-Drul Chorten, built by Truslshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism, in 1945, and Orchid Sanctuary, famous for its rare and extensive collection of orchids.
Day 07, Gangtok - Bagdogra - Kolkata
Drive to Bagdogra and fly to Kolkata.
Arrive & board the international flight to onward destination with pleasure memories of tour.
